I've missed you all the last couple of weeks. There has been a birthday party and on course the trip this last weekend down to Black Sheep Gathering.
Here are the promised links to the vendors I purchased from:
Tactile Fibers--Maia and Brooke have amazingly diverse fibers in beautiful colors. And quite a few interesting knitting, spinning and dye books as well.
Carolina Homespun--I always make a purchase from Morgaine at BSG. It is part of my tradition. The ladies have so many tools, fiber and yarns from fabulous sources. You can get the Jenkins mini Turkish spindle here.
BMFA--Another tradition of BSG shoppig is petting yarn from Tina. Even if I don't purchase a lot I can see the colors up close to make plans for later online shopping. I got some lace weight and a couple of sock yarns, but I really am waiting until Sock Summit for serious yarn shopping. You know As I write this I realize that I will only be purchasing a few special skeins at SS that will be for projects from SS itself.
Toots LeBlanc--I needed a bit more of the Jacob/Alpaca for the Spunky Shawl I've been spinning. It was hard to stay away from their yarns, but I was good;)
Cindy's Treasures, Hendron's and Dyeing A.R.T. all got a bit of my money too. There will be pictures over on my blog in the next day or so of the fun purchases I made.
This was such a fun weekend I definitely will be camping again next year!
The music at the end of the podcast is extra special as I realized when I visited Alissa Hendrix's site and found she was a knitter! Enjoy Good Summer Rain. I found it on Podsafe Network.
